Assisted data extraction for environmental health reviews
Dextr is a semi-automated, web-based data extraction tool that uses machine learning to identify and extract relevant data from scientific articles. It is particularly helpful in extracting complex information such as multiple experiments, exposure doses, and study populations. The semi-automated workflow has a 47% reduction in the time required to complete data extraction. It correctly identifies relevant information 96.0% of the time and the tool finds about 91.8% of all relevant information
