Reference manager for citations and bibliographies
EndNote is a citation and reference management tool. It uses rule-based automation to collect and organize references; inserting citations into documents and creating Bibliographies. Users can search certain databases like PubMed (NLM) directly from within the software. EndNote also automatically finds duplicate studies and automatically retrieves full-text pdfs of articles that are open access. EndNote is also used for screening at both title and abstract and full-text screening, the studies that are included and excluded are sorted into two groups say final selection and final rejection respectively. The user can record the reasons for exclusion in EndNote using the research notes or custom fields. There is also EndNote Basic, which is the free web version of EndNote, however, it lacks the sophisticated features of the paid for version.
