Google Gemini formerly Google Bard is an artificial intelligence Its a language based AI chatbot designed to simulate human conversations. It using machine learning and natural language processing such as neural network techniques to understand content, answer questions, generate texts and produce outputs. Gemini is also used to comprehend input queries as well as data. It has been trained on data sets across multiple data types including audio, images and text. It's able to understand and recognize images such as graphs, diagrams and handwritten notes to solve complex problems. It also has broad multilingual capabilities for translation tasks and functionality across different languages. However, Gemini like other large language models, struggles with the potential of bias due to gaps in training data and hallucinations necessitating users to double-check the sources it provides. Overall Gemini has been reported to have an accuracy of about 71% knowledge of answering 150 text-based multiple choice questions in Ophthalmology.
