Google Translate uses neural machine translation (NMT), an AI-based technology that was trained on large datasets of multilingual text. It is free and instantly translates words, phrases, and web pages between English and over 100 other languages. However, the tool can still produce mistakes, especially with idioms, slang, and nuanced language. It still has challenges with formatting errors in figures such as product prices.
