Finds journals and reviewers matching a title or abstract
Jane (Journal/Author Name Estimator) is a free online bibliographic journal selection tool. The resource allows a user input keywords, abstract text, or author names and view related articles based on user-supplied terms. JANE relies on the data in PubMed, which can contain papers from predatory journals, and therefore, these journals can appear in JANE's results. To help identify high-quality journals, JANE now tags journals that are currently indexed in MEDLINE, and open access journals approved by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). During a search, JANE uses the Lucene open source search engine to search for the most similar fifty articles based on user input and assigns similarity and confidence scores, which determine the search result order.
