Point-and-click meta-analysis built on R
MAVIS (Meta-Analysis via Shiny) is a free-to-use tool for conducting meta-analysis. The software accomplishes this by leveraging the R programming language for data analysis and the Shiny package from RStudio to power the user interface and server software. The tool provides different models, such as correlation model options, dichotomous Model options, and random effects model estimators, for the users to choose from. The tool also offers various effect size calculators, allowing users to compute necessary statistics based on their data. MAVIS utilizes R's powerful statistical packages to perform robust meta-analysis calculations behind the scenes. The tool generates high-quality visual outputs, such as forest plots, which help users interpret their results effectively. While do not necessarily need to have extensive knowledge of R, the tool requires the R programming language to be installed on the user's local device.
