Open Knowledge Maps is a visual search engine that assists in the discovery of scientific knowledge. Users have to select either PudMed (life sciences) or BASE (all disciplines) to search for evidence. After a search query is entered into the tool, the tool uses text similarity to group together documents that have many words in common. It presents a topical overview for a user's search query in the form of a map based on the 100 most relevant documents matching the query, making it easier for the reviewer to find relevant studies.
