Meta-analysis for ecology and evolutionary biology
OpenMEE is open-source cross- platform software for performing meta-analysis suited to the needs of ecologists and evolutionary biologists. It uses advanced statistical functionalities and analyses such as standard Meta-Analysis, Cumulative Meta-Analysis, Leave-one-out Meta-Analysis, Subgroup Meta-Analysis, Phylogenetic Meta-Analysis, Meta-Regression, Model Building (Likelihood Ratio Testing for Nested Regressions), Bootstrapped Meta-Analysis, Multiple Imputation for Missing Data, data exploration ( histograms, scatterplot). The tools has standardized tools for publication bias diagnostics such as funnel plots. The tools allows for exportation of results. The tool uses R (a programming language for statistical computing) in the background to perform its analyses. Although the tool uses R for its analyses, the casual user does not need to interact directly with R. OpenMEE sends commands to R in the background, allowing users to perform meta-analyses without needing to be aware of the underlying R commands.
