Assesses outcome reporting bias across a review
Outcome Reporting Bias in Trials (ORBIT) Matrix Generator is a web-based tool for systematic reviewers to help them identify and address outcome reporting bias (ORB) in clinical trials. Specifically, the tool enables users to: 1. Construct an outcome matrix: The tool helps create a structured table (matrix) where rows represent individual studies in a review and columns represent the different outcomes of interest. 2. Reviewers use the matrix to systematically document whether outcomes were fully reported, partially reported, or not reported at all within each study. This makes the extent of missing data transparent. 3. It facilitates the application of the ORBIT classification system to formally determine if a study or a review is at a high or low risk of bias due to selective reporting of outcomes. The completed matrix can be exported for inclusion in systematic review reports, publications, or for use with specific statistical methods that adjust for outcome reporting bias.
