Retrieves and analyses academic citation metrics
Publish or Perish is a software program that retrieves and analyzes academic citations. It uses a variety of data sources to obtain the raw citations. It functions by querying several academic databases such as Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, Crossref, PubMed, and more. Users input search parameters like author names, journal titles, keywords, or phrases. The tool retrieves relevant publications and citation data, then computes various metrics including the total number of papers, total number of citations, average number of citations per paper, number of citations per author and average number of authors per paper.
