Optimises sensitivity and precision trade-offs in screening
SensPrecOptimizer is a free software tool that combines search queries to design efficient search strategies. Users prepare a list of search queries that they want to combine for developing sensitive search strategies. The tool then analyzes the combination of search queries and captures the shortest sensitive strategy. Highly Sensitive Search Strategies refers to the two strategies recommended by the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions. The two strategies include a sensitivity-maximizing version and a sensitivity- and precision-maximizing version. The tool is designed to quickly produce the shortest sensitive strategy in a timely manner (about 7 minutes for 20 search queries).
