Builds a MeSH term grid to compare and refine searches
Overview
The Yale MeSH Analyser analyzes PubMed articles using the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) terms. It takes up to 20 PubMed unique identifiers (PMIDs) and generates a grid (HTML or Excel) showing MeSH terms. It retrieves MeSH headings for given PubMed Identifiers (PMIDs) and orders them by frequency to identify common topics. The analyzer then creates a table of key Medline metadata for visual comparison and analysis. Additionally, it automatically creates a MeSH analysis grid. The MeSH analysis grid helps identify the reason why some known relevant articles are missing in the initial search result set, and serves as a "scoping search" tool to help identify potential new search terms and phrases.
